                   Jacob Miles is the son of Thomas Miles and Catherine Poteet .. Jacob Miles
lived on the Rattlesnake Creek in Caswell Co NC.. He left a Will in Caswell
Co NC  dated 10 Feb 1800 in Superior court of Caswell Co Nc.. Will book E,
Page 139.. He did not name all his children in the Will , in Will he names
Martha (Patsey Graves) who married Thomas Gunn, he names Martha as a
Grandaughter.. He names other grandchildren, Jacob Graves, John Graves , James
Graves,   Thomas Miles and Elizabeth Cimbro... A daughter married Thomas Graves
Note;; Thomaas Graves children were ,Jacob,John, and James..    Elizabeth
Married William Kimbrow 9 Dec 1799 in Caswell NC...  There probably another
son Alexander , see Gene Morrrow notes..
Father of Catherine Poteet is Peter Poteet and Rebecca Bond(?)

Will didn't name a daughter of his marrying a Graves, but as his grandchildren
as Graves.. One of his unmentioned daughters had to marry Thomas Graves..

Court office... Marriage of Jacob Mlles and Nancy Rice are from the marriage
bond book in Caswll Co NC...information of this family was also from Heritage
book of Caswell Co NC.. page 382 and 383.. compiled by Alice M Reavis of
Burlington, NC.. Last five children of Jacob Miles married in Robertson Co
Tenn.   Birth and death of Abner Miles was from tombstone 1 mile east of
Yanceyville NC  in Graves Cemetery..   Deed book M Page 161 mention Jacob Jr by
his father Jacob Miles Sr wrote 27 Oct 1801 in Caswell Co .. land on
Rattlesnake Creek......Note: Abner Miles wife Delilah married David Womack the
first time.. She was the daughter of Capt John Herndon Graves.
James Miles was sealed to Jacob Miles 24 Oct 1990..  Hannah McComas married
10 Nov 1748 from Parish Register of St John and St George Maryland.. The first
three children of Jacob Miles stayed in Caswell Co ,as named ,James ,Abner and
Hiram...The other five children went to Robertson Co Tenn with there Parents..
Note:   Jacob Miles in Rev War, Private NC unit in 1834.. Abner and Wife
sealed 12 Feb 1976 Arizona.. See  source in Jacob Miles Sr of Rev
family history center put his birth as abt 1761 - Caswell Co NC... but I doc
his birth as 10 Feb 1800...
