Durham NC..    John McNeil Richmond was Private and enlisted in Caswell Co NC
at age 25 March 5th 1862 for the war- Deserted and entered Federal lines at New
Bern NC and was confined at Fort Monroe, Va March 27 1864 and was released
March 31 1864 and sent to St Louis Missouri and took oath of Allegence 1 April

Dameron was living with James Aldridge in 1880 census of Caswell and he was age
75 an Widowed...    In 1880 census of Caswell Co William Foust was age 24,
Bettie his wife was age 18, and Baby son 3/12..    Aunt Blanche Page Stadler
told Richard Aldridge that he mother said Elizabeth Jane (Bettie ) amd family
left on a buggy an she said went to Ohio..  (don't know where)
