Bern NC and was confined at Fort Monroe, Va March 27 1864 and was released
March 31 1864 and sent to St Louis Missouri and took oath of Allegence 1 April
1864.. Also information from Mrs Greenfield , 1191/2 N. Main St Huntsville Mo
Mary Jane Richmond was the daughter of John Richmond and Elizabeth Anderson
Rose.. She married John McNeil Richmond her first cousin.

John David Richmond and his brother William Richmond had a quarrell between
each other because Wiliam calf came across on John Richmond land. They were
brothers.. John shot his brother William and killed him. William Richmond wife
Mary never married again.. Richard P Aldridge met her personally, She was a
small lady who would weigh about 110 pounds.. She is remember by the geneology
she had wrapped up and a string tied around it.. The sheriff finally caught
John Richmond and he stayed in Jail awhile but was soon let out before the
hearing, While he was out of Jail he skipped the country.. Hassie his daughter
thought he may have went to Randolph Co Missouri, She went there to find him
but didn't find him.. Hassie said she never saw her father anymore..
