NC,, It has been moved several times..  He served in the Revolutary War and
fired the first cannon in that war and also was a an eye witness to the
surrender of Lord Cornwallis at Yorktown.. Claim number 6941.   Starling Gunn
Will dated 15 May 1849 book Q page 662 in clerk of court office in Yanceyville
Caswell Co NC
Tombstone says died in 13 Aug 1852 age 88 yrs 3 Mo 4 da.  Moved to Meth Church
by Johnny Gunn..  The family history center used the Will date of Starling
Gunn as all birth  dates of Children.. Ordinance work was done accordingly to
Will date...    Birth dates of children were from family bible of Starling Gunn
recorded in Misc book in Caswell Co NC.. Also Mary Hooper birth date from bible
and tombstone at Meth Church in Yanceyville.. Misc book says the bible of
Starling Gunn is in possession of Miss Susie Blue Buchanan , of Brandon  Miss.
Elizabeth Miles on the settlement of estate of James Miles.. Betsey was on
James Miles marriage bond in Caswell Co    also see Starling Gunn , page 251
Caswell Hertige book ...  Rev war record tells were he was born  and date of
birth, also see Caswell Heritage book .. He states that he was born in
Brunswick Co Va, 9 May 1764.. and also that his father is Thomas Gunn.

and he married the third time to Frances Kilgore.. Thomas went to Robertson Co
Tenn .  information of this family was from book, Thomas Gunn 111 and his
descendants, in Gunn library in Yanceyville NC..  also from Winters book NC.
John A Gunn was buried at old Gunn Cem north of cedar hill Tenn,
                  

                   James Gunn went to Robertson Co Tenn. He married Mourning Winn 24 Dec 1789
first time and Barbara Walker 23 April 1808 the second time.. information on
this family of James Gunn and Mourning Winn was from book , Descendants of
Thomas Gunn 111 compiled by Gwen Shoemaker , Eldon Missouri 65026- page 276 in
Gunn library in Yanceyville NC.. She copied James Gunn bible and also saw it..
James Gunn left Caswell Co and settled on the Red River in Tenn.. Alsoo see
Caswell Heritage book page 251..   Nancy Gunn wife of Alexander Gunn is
daughter of Thomas Gunn..   Red River is in Robertson Co Tenn..

Raleigh, NC  CR 020.510.1.. Sterling Gunn or Starling  was Guardain to Miss
