Graves book C, page 428 clerk of court office Caswell Co NC... Marriage bond of
Caswell Co NC.. Thomas deceased by April 1799 when an inventory of his estate
was made.. Division of land was approved at Janurary court 1800, 2497 acres
were alloted to his 10 children..

Miles and Hannah McComas.. (name of daughter unknown..) Jacob Miles in his
Will mentioned 4 of his Graves grandchildren, John, James , Jacob, and Martha
Graves Gunn Will book E, page 139...

James Graves was a Veteran of War of 1812..

the Children; John abt 1772, Jacob abt 1774, James abt 1776, Nancy abt 1778,
Azariah abt 1780, Major abt 1782, Thomas abt 1784,Esbel abt 1786. Lewis abt
1788, Martha abt 1790........All Ordinance work was done according to these
dates.........

of Jacob Miles.. Jacob Miles mentioned his 4 Graves grandchildren as John ,
James, Jacob and Martha Graves (Gunn) Will book E, page 139... Jacob in his
Will didn't name a daughter of his marrying a Graves, but as his grandchildren
as Graves.. One of his unmentioned daughters had to marry Thomas Graves..

Jacob Graves was born abt 1774 which was estimated from the oldest child birth.
Jacob Graves is buried in the old Aldrdige Cemetery below Dewey Oakley . The
cemetery was damaged by a bulldozer in 1993.. Jacob tomstone is lying on the
ground now.. It has J G and it looks like No 9 1831 or 1829... Other family
members are also in there., his daughter Hannah Graves who married Lewis Terell
is also buried there .. It has H T on her tombstone Dec Jan 1828... Jane
Aldridge , the daughter of Joseph Aldridge is also buried there .. Its all
faded out , but it looks like died in 1853., She married William A Burke,but
the tombstone had Jane Burke on it.

There was no marriage record of Jacob Graves and wife Nancy Kimbrough.. It was
estimated from the oldest child birth date. Being Martha Graves Aldridge his
oldest daughter was born Feb 1795, it was estimated Jacob and Nancy were
married abt 1793 in Caswell Co NC..
Nancy his Wife was , Nancy Kimbrough before marriage.. She was the daughter of
John Kimbrough because in his Will dated Nov 1817 in Caswell Co NC.it names
Nancy Graves as his daughter.. Most of the children of Jacob Graves became
orphans after the death of their father except Martha, and she was old enough
to have left home and married.. See Guardian record of Caswell Co NC. at NC
