James Madison MCGEE
Source Edgar Bell: When Madison's wife died in 1900, he returned to Carroll Co. and about 4 mos. later married a 19 year old woman. He's buried in GAR ceme. Miami, Ottawa, OK with wife #2 and one of his sons. Microfilms of Miami, OK newspaper in basement of Miami library. Also indexes to articles. Article about Madison is very dim. From Miami New Record 27 NOV 1933 "Zincville- funeral services for Reverend Madison McGee were conducted by Reverned Dewey Killien in the Zincville Community Building, Thursday afternoon @ 2 o'clock. Many friends and relatives were present." Another article on page 1137 from "The History of Souwest Missouri" by Rodney Sidney Douglas, published in 1912 is an article that refers to Isaac McGee and I doubt the accuracy of the info. Perhaps there were two Isaac Monroe's. I have an informant in Ohio. If you email me, I will give you her address. She goes to Carroll Co. in search of info and once went to Bonne Terre, MO. She has some McGee photos. Ed Bell
