                   Known by nickname "Polly".  Very common name for Mary.
John died suddenly leaving Mary with five very young children.  She continued
to keep the Standing Stone Inn to support herself and small children. Anytime
they looked out the east window of the inn they could see covered wagons from
the east on their trek to the west.  One wagon brought a bachelor, Benjamin
Walker, on the way to Arkansas, stopped, spent the night at the inn, fell in
