In Faribault in 1855. To Elk River in 1868 Purchased 1/2 interest in Flour and Lumber Mill. The family mill at Elk River, Minnesota was 3 stories high, covering the river.
He worked at the family mill in Elk River, Minnesota. In 1908 he and Anna took out a homestead at Fallon, Nevada, where they lived the remainder of their lives.
Nationally known expert on infant care--Children's Bureau. Lived in Washington, D.C. until Max's death. Moved to Berkeley, Calif. NAME: Mary/Molly
Played in University of Minnesota band. He and Harry worked with their father in the mill after John and Anna moved to Fallon, Nev. in 1908. Then Fred and his family moved to North Dakota and worked in a mill there for a couple of years. Then moved to Fallon in 1918. The new big steam mills in St. Paul made their business so marginal that the boys left.
He married Stata Mehitabel Sanborn Oct 1855 at Faribault, Rice, Minnesota . Stata Mehitabel Sanborn was born at New York 28 Nov 1830 .
