She had one sister, Cora, and one brother. The family she lived with operated a hotel in Wiota. She used totell of when she was a small girl, the Crooked Creek gang use to come toWiota and shoot up the town. One night one of them was shot and killed,his father came to town in a lumber wagon, purchased a coffin and sat onit taking him home. She used to like square dancing. She had a membership in Congregational Church and was very active inthe Ladies Aid Group in her later years. She was also a member of theEastern Star at the time of her death. She had a wonderful disposition never seemed to worry about things.She didn't have many family problems outside of four onery kids She liked to read and also piece and make quilts. She never traveled and only time she ever left the state was whenshe went to Wyoming with D.L. once.
