                      She attended Nursing School in PeeWee Valley, Kentucky.  She was the call valedictorian.  She loved ER nursing and trauma nursing.  She worked at Florida Hospital in Orlando.
She was the Dean of Nursing at Fletcher Hospital School of Nursing in Fletcher, NC and also worked with physicians in Avon Park, FL.  She retired from Walker Memorial Hospital.
She was an outdoor enthusiast.  She loved camping,hiking, and canoeing in the US and Canada.
She was an avid bird watcher, shell collector and enjoyed oil painting in her later years.
She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
She ouived 3 spouses:  William Asdhton, Aurthur Brown, and Reason Shivers.
