Historical information in notes Quote from ORIGIN AND HISTORY OF THE MAGENNIE FAMILY: Mark Johnston came to America in 1794, from County Antrim, Ireland. It is believed that he was a brother of William, and died a few years after his arrival in this county, in Lancaster County. He was a plain, unassuming man, and little of his history is now remembered. His wife was Elizabeth Crawford, and she came of an old and respectable family in Ireland. Both are buried in the cemetery of Octoraro Presbyterian Church, as the Scotch Irish settlers of that period were nearly all Presbyterians.Sealing Spouse: 25 Apr 1945 in SLAKE
