NOTE: George W. LEIGHTON was a Civil War Soldier. He served in Company A, 16th Illinois Infantry. He died during his enlistment in the Civil War.
He married Alcesta Miller 8 Apr 1844 at Hamilton, Ohio . Alcesta Miller was born at Hamilton, Ohio 7 Aug 1824 daughter of George Miller and Eleanor Plouegh .
