Will of Levi Aldrich of Smithfield, dated 29 March 1799, proved 27 May 1799, mentions wife, Penelope, but states: "I give and bequeath to my reputed son Amasa Aldrich, who was born of the body of Kezia Bassett, all the remainder of my real estate...." Levi Aldrich and Penelope Darling were married in 1786. Amasa Aldrich was born 15 August 1783. Levi was not married to Keziah Bassett.
