1. Samuel died at sea between Rhode Island and New London, CT.

1. John resided in Warwick, South Kingstown and Westerly, RI, but his will, dated 8 JUL 1787 calls him of Westerly. The Rhode Island state census of 1774 lists him in South Kingstown with 14 whites and 2 Indians in his household. The South Kingstown monthly meetings of Friends mention his daughters Hannah, Elizabeth, Ruth, and Sarah in 1782 and indicate his presence, along with his three sons at the marriage in 1785 of his daughter, Elizabeth.
1. In1773 he joined the Friends' South Kingstown Monthly meeting but despite that he served in Col. Brewer's Regt. in 1777 in the Revolutionary Army. In 1778 he gave his age as 55 years. He resided in Teft's Plains (now Richmond), RI and New London, CT.
He married Patience Hopkins 2 Feb 1700 at Warwick, Kent, Rhode Island . Patience Hopkins was born at of Providence, Providence, Rhode Island Abt 1678 daughter of Thomas Hopkins and Sarah .
