married Isabel Glenn (born 3-31-1837 NC) who died in 1893. She is also buried at Lower Wharton Creek Cemetary. James was a confederate solder , but against his will. He fought under Gen. Sterling Rice in the Battle of Pea Ridge in Arkansas. Later was was in the Home Guard, Federal service. He was a republican, a justice of the Peace for many years and a notary public.
