                         Information on this family was obtained from (1) letter from B . C. Harpole
of West Point, Mississippi, which stated that this family moved to Or egon in
1853; family names and birthdates for everyone except children 2, 3 , 4, and 5
were in this letter.  Marriage information on the children was also i n this
letter, (2) U. S. census of 1860, Salem, Marion county, Oregon, pag e 392.  This
census was used to approximate the remaining birthdates and death dat es.
Although there is a record of the sealing of the husband and wife, n o other
ordinances have been located for them.
