       Ref 5:  Property of F. H. Wombles is located 5 miles south of th e town of
Silex.

       Ref 6:  Mathias Henry Wombles said that his mother was born o n a farm
seven miles northwest of Troy, county seat of Lincoln county, Mo., o n the road
from Troy to Millwood.  The farm was on white oak land, thin land, mu ch of it
rocky land, but there was fresh water, gushing from the land.  Mr. Wo mbles was
one of nine children, six of whom are living.  Besides himself, the o ldest of
the living, there are Charles Wombles, banker at Truxton in Lincoln c o., Mo.,
Sarah (Mrs. Philip Colbert) of Silex, Mo., Delia (Mrs. John Hubbard ) of
Elsberry, Mo., Cora (errors here) of St. Louis, Eva (Mrs. Ben Janes ) of Davis
in Lincoln co., Mo.  The four living sisters are all widows.  Decease d brothers
are John W. Wombles (whose wife and daughters live at Davis, Mo.), Ja mes
William, who died in Cedar county, Mo., and Carl Wombles, who lived a t Troy and
died in St. Louis.  Fountain Henry Wombles and his wife were buried i n Lincoln
county, in Trail cemetery.
