Ref 2: Mrs. L. G. Wombles, a life-long resident of the county , died at
her home near Davis Sunday evening, December 7. Funeral services wer e held
Tuesday afternnon, December 9, at 1:00 o'clock at the Kemper Funera l Home,
conducted by Rev. John M. Guthrie. Interment was made in the Old Ale xandria
cemetery. Born in Lincon county on November 19, 1862, she was 85 yea rs, 18
days of age at the time of her death. She is survivied by her daught er, Mrs.
Jack Lindsay, and other relatives. (published December 1947).
Ref 3: The estate of John T. Wombles was probated in Lincoln co unty,
Missouri. He died 4 Nov 1918. The heirs were: Leonora G. Wombles, w idow,
residing at Davis, Lincoln county, Missouri; Dessie D. Wombles, daugh ter,
