Will Book 1774-1779 of Berkeley county, South Carolina, page 169 , contains the will of Jacob Pennington dated 7 Dec 1762. In it, he names his w ife and 6 daughters, and the husbands of the first 3 daughters. Moore, in hi s Abstracts of Wills of S. C. 1760-1784 on page 33 adds the facts that Mary Canno n is the daughter of John Cannon and that she married (2) Abram Gray of Laurens District.
