There is much confusion about the family of John Knowlton and Deborah Grant.  Several sources list different wives as mothers of the children.  Additionally, the marriage date for Deborah Grant and John Knowlton is after the birth of six of the children.  The direct line ancestor is given several different mothers in different repositories, and no sources are ever used to document how this connection and relationship was determined.  Research on the family of John Knowlton (1633) is higly recommended and will be necessary to provide an accurate ancestry on this line.
