Andrew and his family moved to Washington County in 1770 buying 50 acresof land from Joseph Chapline on Dec. 18th, 1769 which was expanded lateron. Andrew left a will which he wrote when he was ill on February 4, 1777 andwas probated on June 14, 1777 after his death in Washington County, MD.The will mentions his wife and children. After his death, the land wassold to Christian Wyandt who farmed the land and cared for CatherinePutman, who was Christian's mother-in-law. After Andrew's death, most ofthe children moved to Somerset County, PA which was just over theMaryland line. Later members of the family migrated westward to Ohio.
Elizabeth's birth is also shown as Dec. 22, 1751.
Andrew junior was the youngest, being born in 1767. He married AnnaElizabeth Lenhart in Somerset County on April 5, 1790. Elizabeth was bornin York County, Pennsylvania October 12, 1766. She was a daughter ofGeorge Lenhart and Anna Catherine Schell. They lived on a farm near NewCenterville, later known as the Hanna Farm. They later sold the farm andmoved to the vicinity of Barron's Church. Here the parents and severalchildren are buried. Elizabeth died on August 12, 1832 and Andrew onFebruary 21, 1834. Also have a second marriage date of May 4, 1790 inSpring Creek Twp., Somerset Co., PA.
John was the first to own land and settle in Somerset County, PA. Heowned land in both Milford and Somerset Townships totaling some 160acres which was acquired by his son Henry. His son John got thedistillery.
He married Blocked 10 Jan 1746/47 at Reformed Church, Rohrback, German Palatinate .
