Feb. 3, 1859  Death of MRS. MC PHERSON

    We announce with sorrow under our obituary head to-day the death of MRS.
CATHERINE MC PHERSON, relict of the late J. B. MC PHERSON, Esq., andmother
of Hon. EDWARD MC PHERSON, our Congressman elect from this district, Shedied
at the residence of her son-in-law, DR. N. B. SCOTT, in Hagerstown, Md.,on
Tuesday morning last, while on a visit. Her remains were brought home on
Wednesday evening and interred in Ever Green Cemetery on Thursday,followed
by many friends who will long hold her memory for her many fine qualitiesas
a Christian, a neighbor and a friend. She died in the 68th year of herage.
This is three deaths which has occured in the family within the shortspan of
