Charles Calvin Faith, Well known farmer of the Clearspring district, died
at the Washington County Hospital on Tuesday morning at 8 o'clock, of
complications, after an illness of one week, aged 60 years. He was born
and reared in the Clearspring district, the son of John F. and Cornelia
(Slayman) Faith. He was a member of St. John's Reformed Church, of
Clearspring. The following children survive: Mrs. Lester Keyser, Dry Run;
Mrs. William Carbaugh and Mrs. Marie Shellee, Clearspring; Mrs. Carlton
Turner, Hagerstown; Mrs. Earl Statler, Martinsburg, W. Va. and Miss
Geneva at home; sons, Earl J. and John W. Faith, Clearspring and Adrian
C. Faith, Fort Frederick. Seventeen grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs.
David Robinson and Mrs. Newman Corwell, Clearspring and a brother, James
Faith, Clearspring also survive. The body was removed to the funeral home
of A. K. Coffman. Funeral services will be held at St. John's Reformed
Church Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. J. Wade Huffman
officiating. Interment in Rose Hill cemetery near Clearspring.

Mrs. Cora Crace Faith, the wife of Charles C. Faith, died at her home
near Clearspring Thursday morning after an illness of one year, aged 58.
She was born and reared in the Clearspring district, the daughter of John
and Katherine Blair Sword. She was a member of the Reformed church at
Clearspring. Besides her husband she is survived by these daughters: Mrs.
Gladys Keyser, Dry Run; Mrs. Grace Carbaugh, Blairs Valley: Mrs. Marie
Schelee, Clearspring; Mrs. Vera Turner, this city; Ruth and Geneva at

John Wilbur Faith Sr., 77, of the Old Mercersburg Rd., Clear Spring, Md.,
died Tuesday at Washington County Hospital.  Born in Franklin County,
Pa., he was the son of the late Charles C. and Cora Sword Faith.  He had
been employed with Shapco Inc.' retiring in 1975, and formerly was
employed with Western Maryland Railroad.  He was a Protestant.  He is
survived by his wife, Helen C. Bowman Faith; one daughter, Betty June
Reed of Clear Spring; one son, John Wilbur Faith Jr. of Hagerstown; three
sisters, Marie Schelle of Clear Spring, Ruth Ashton of Martinsburg, W.
Va., and Geneva Morrow of Kearneysville, W. Va.; two brothers, Earl Faith
and Adrian Faith, both of Clear Spring; three grandchildren; and one
great granddaughter.  Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Donald E.
Thompson Funeral Home Inc. of Clear Spring.  The Rev. Wendell G. Gross
will officiate.  Burial will be in Little Rose Hill Cemetery, Clear
Spring.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thrusday
from 7 to 9 p.m.

St. Andrew's United Methodist Church. She had previously been employed at
the Hagerstown Rubber Co. and for the past seven years at the Kings
Department Store. She is survived by her husband, John J. Bowers Sr.; one
son, Nelson A. Turner of Hagerstown; one stepson, John J. Bowers Jr. of
Hagerstown; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Betty Knepper of Martinsburg, W.Va.;
one foster daughter, Mrs. Sharon Cooper of Bluefield, W.Va.; three
brothers, Adrian C. Faith, John W. Faith, and Earl J. Faith all of Clear
Spring; three sisters, Mrs. Ruth Ashton of Martinsburg, Mrs. Marie
Schelle of Clear Spring and Mrs. Geneva Morrow of Kearneysville; and five
grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and three foster grandchildren.
Services will be held at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd.,
