Nathaniel Shoeck MOYER

                      --Source of information: George Moyer ;  Benjamin Franklin Moyer is an interesting story.  He was from the Collegeville area of Montgomery County.  He developed health problems and was told he should go west for his health.  His girl friend followed him west although her father forbade her to do it on the grounds that Ben had no future.  He was only a clerk and was in ill health.  When she arrived in the West she was not allowed to stay in the same rooming house with him since they were not married.  There was a much higher moral standard in those days. Ben recovered his health and they were married.  He outlived her by I think 30 years or so.  Ben corresponded with his Pennsylvania relatives including my father who was not even born when Ben went west.  He did come east on occasion and visited my father.
