"All  children were born at Jones Mills, Pennsylvania.  Robert and Ettie woned and lived on a farm, and raised all the children there.  Bob as he was alle also worked in a coal mine.  He lived there till he lost the farm to a Mr. Miller who had 2nd mortgage.  She had him sheriffed, so sold out.  He bought his sister Annie Harckom's place down by 711, was there till mother died, Had sale and lived with one daughter till he went to a private home.  Met his second wife Mildred that worked there.  Still lived there till he passed on.  He loved to hunt and fish."

Dear Cousin Hal,
I don't know what info that I gave you on our family,  My father owned a farn 2 and one forth miles west of the little town of Jones Mills, Pa. it was about a  miles from Rt 30 on left side.  YOu could see some of the fields from the highway.  My older Brother lived on the farm for many years.  The houst was closer to Rt. 30.  My second oldest sister built the house her and her husband Paul Miller.  Her name is Emma Florence,.  They lived there a few years after I was born.  I don't know if that is when they moved to Akorn, Ohio where Paul worked in a rubber plant cutting up old auto tires.  In the late 20's or early 30's daddy lost the barn from a fire, had no insruance.  Had just got the fire insurance policy and did[n't] have the payment sent in yet.  He rebuilt a smaller barn and was doing fine.  Till Mrs Miller that was Paul's Aunt who Paul and Florance borrowed mony from and Dad went on there note so Mrs Miller had mortgage on the far.  She came and sherffred them out.  Robert my dad was going to pay the mortgage off that fall.  He bought his sister's small place and lived there till mother passed away in Dec 1947.  Had sale and lived with Florance his daugher and then in a private home till he married again.  He passed away Nov. 1957  His second wife went to Pittsburg that is the last we  heard from her.  Her name is Mildred."
