History of Bollinger Family, 1951. "Deed book NN, p 506, dated Feb. 17, 1792, John Mohler & wife Ann, of Cocalico Twp - to Peter Bollinger. Ann, daughter of Daniel Bollinger and wife of John Mohler, Peter was a son of Daniel therefore sister of Ann. Says Daniel died intestate - no date- and left widow Elizabeth and two children Ann and Peter. That book also summarizes will of John Mohler, Will Book N - Vol 1, p 86, John Mohler, of Cocalico Twp, Will dated Jan. 3, 1818, probated Nov. 24, 1821. Wife Ann, children: John; Elizabeth, wife of Samuel Fass; Nancy (Anna) wife of Philip Weist, Salome (Sarah) wife of John Eicholtz; Susanna wife of Benjamin Reigle; Mary wife of John Merkle; Hannah wife of Samuel Landis; Catherine wife of ____Shirk; Esther wife of ____ Royer; Rebecca, wife of _____ Studebaker. Executors - my three sons, Daniel, Henry and John Mohler and son-in-law Samuel Landis." It is interesting that all 9 daughters and only one son get property in the will. (Daniel had recd his in 1803, and John was in Ohio.) All the above is from a letter from Lottie Bausman to a Mr. Bollinger in 1947. Cumb Co Deed 2-D-164, 23 March 1827, execs of John's estate, as directed by will, sold a tract of 154a, 105p in Monroe Twp, for $5544 to Frederick Gantz. Plantation bounded by lands of Michael Hoover, Adam Bishop, Philip Weist, Peter & John Leidig, Jacob Krill & others. John & Ann deeded a tract of 224 acres and 102perches to son Daniel on 4 Nov 1803. I have not found that deed. Cumb Co Deed U-64, 7 May 1804, John & Ann sell 6 acres, 58p of land in Cumb Co to Martin Keller of East Pennsborough Twp. for 70 pounds
Tombstone beside Daniel just says Anna with dates. Tombstone of daughter says she was daughter of Daniel and Nancy. Will of 1751 Jacob Mohler, says his daughter Nancy (PAF # 370)was married to a Daniel Mohler. Another daughter, Mary was married to Dan's brother John. Daniel was a fairly wealthy man and a minister of the Brethren Church. Land deals of Daniel Mohler. 4 Nov 1803, Dan recd 224acres, 102 perches from parents John & Ann. I have not found the 1803 deed. 2 April 1810, deed U-131, bought 42a, 19p from Jacob Krill 9 April 1810, deed U-133, bought 49a, 159p from Aaron Patterson. 23 Oct 1813, deedV-564, bought 8a, 105p from John Gooswiler 1 April 1825, deed II-40, Dan & Chris bought 208a, 36p from John Mahan 22 July 1826, deed 10-I 568, Chris & Dan bought 13 acres from John Mahon, then Chris gave his half to Dan. 1 April 1833, deed OO-433, bought 10a from Geo. Singiser. 25 April 1833, bought 2 acres from Martin Miley. 5 April 1842, deed TT-347, bought 100 acres from James Graham. 27 May 1843, deed XX-105, sold to Christian Titzel 10 acres. His will, filed in Cumb Co PA book B 1849-59, p1. Mansion farm with 176 acres to Solomon for $9,378. In the Cumb Co Deed 2-K-512 (2 April1851), transfers Dan's plantation to son Solomon. The will said to sell one tract of land 40a +143p. This was sold 6 April 1850 to Levi Merkel, deed 2-K-524 and sold back to Solomon on 8 May, deed 2-K-516 for the same $1635.75. Another tract of 12 acres was to be sold. Haven't found yet. Deed 10-I-570, 2 April 1851, transfers 100 acres to Jacob Landis, widower of Dan's daughter Mary/Polly. Jacob Landis had to pay $5,800 and hold the land in trust for his children. Jacob D got the plantation on which he lived. I could not find the deed. Nancy & Jacob Studebaker received 109 acres in Fairview Twp, York Co deed 13-0-379. Hannah & Moses Miller were to receive 80 acres plus 10 acres woodland. That deed was not where it was supposed to be 2-R-133.
Two children died young Isaac [the first] Aug. 16 1809 to July 2, 1815 another son born later in 1815 was also named Isaac. Humphrey Aug 5, 1811 to July 24, 1813. Bollinger bk says buried at Zion Cem, sw of Greentown, Stark Co., Ohio lists Joseph, no dates, Isaac the second, and Harry. Says wife was Mary ____
She did not die in Apple Creek but her daughter Sarah did
Other children of John and Salome Gleim M1544 Frederick Mohler, 12-25-1822, 7 6 1823 Article in Biographical Annals of Lancaster Co featured Levi Mohler on p 829 lists same children.
Listed in the book on cemetery and church records of the Mechanicsville area was the following on page 219, in Cocklins Cem. John Eicholtz 15 Nov1782, d. 15 March1847 Sarah, wife of John Eicholtz, 11 Dec 1789, 17 Sept 1869 Is this Sarah the daughter of John Mohler and Ann Bollinger? Don Mohler's book gives Sarah's dates as 6 June 1788, d. 11 Feb 1789 the 1788-89 was the first Sarah, after she died the family had another and John married the second Sarah
Mary had Ann Rupp and Mary Rupp, then wed Mr. Markley and had Daniel, Solomon, John and Henry whose daughter Anna wed a Koser. Heydt: John Markley/Merkel/Merkle.
Hannah: Simon who had Emma Levi had Levi, Samuel, Jacob and Mary Samuel had Emma. Lydia Ann wed Mr. Levan and had Samuel, Mary, Landis and Sarah Hannah.
He married Ann Bollinger 9 Jun 1778 . Ann Bollinger was born at 22 Apr 1760 daughter of Daniel Bollinger and Elizabeth Moore .
