Ludwick G. MILLER
Jacob Miller lived in Milford Twp., Somerset County,PA. He died intestate in 1815. His land, about 210 acres, was sold at auction on 2 August 1816 and valued at $10.00 per acre. This is recorded at'the Somerset County Courthouse in Deed Book 8, page 45. Among his possessions were; a bible to George Miller, a prayer book to John Hart, 9 hogs, 20 head of sheep, '6 horses, 2 colts, 2 cows, 3 beehives, ducks, cotton, chest nuts, onions, hay, flax, wheat, rye, corn, oats, tomatoes, turnips, potatoes, sauerkraut, churn, grindstone, shoemaker tools, blacksmith tools, wagons, clock, rifle, and various other farming and household tools. Ludwick died on 2O March 1845 in'Sa1tlick Twp., Fayette,County, Pa., and is buried in the Lutheran Cemetery at Indian Head, Pa. His sons, Jacob H. and Frederick, were administrators of his estate as recorded in the Fayette County Courthouse in Orphans Court Book 4, page 388. Cain Christner and Peter and Harriet_Christner bought Ludwick Miller's farm from the heirs for $650.00 on 1 Dec 1855. This is recorded in Deed Book 27, page 667.
Susannah died in December 1863 at the age of 86. She had 150 grandchildren and 200 great grandchildren. Some of her children were parents to 18 and 20 children. Her will is recorded in Will Book 4, page 49. In the name of God, Amen, I, Susannah Miller, ot Saltlick Twp., Fayette County, and the state of Pa., being of sound and disposing mind and memory, do make and declare this to be my last will and testament in mannor following; That is to say, I order that all my funeral expenses and charges of providing this my will, be in the first place fully paid and satisfied and after payment thereof, and every part thereof, I give and bequeath to my youngest son, Isaac Miller, all the residue of my goods, chattels, merchandices, notes, bonds, monies, and household furniture. Hereby revolk+ng a former will by me made. In witness where of I have here unto set my hand and seal the 8th day of August in the year of our Lord 1863. Children of George & Charlotte (Fox) Miller Isacc was born May 11, 1835 and died Jan. 4, 1857. Henery F. was born Jan.16, 1836. and died at Norcatur, KS on Sept.14,1915. He married Emeline Long in 1856 John was born in 1838. He went West and then who knows. Barbara was born in 1839 no info on her. David was born in 1843.He went West, to Carrol County, IL. Josiah (Joe) was born in 1845 and died in 1909. Joe farmed below theGeorge H. Miller farm. His farm had 108 acres. Joe married twice. Hisfirst wife and family died of the Black Fever. He then went and fought inthe Civil War. By his second wife he had a son named Clark. Clark waslater shot at the Brown Place at the Moonshine Shanty. His cousin said,"He should have been shot long before he was." Joe died on the farm nearhis hometown. Jerimiah (Jerry) was born in 1849 and went West. Geroge F> was born in 1851, lived in Fayetta CO., and died there in 1925.
He married Susannah Hede or Hart Abt 1798 at Somerset, Pennsylvania . Susannah Hede or Hart was born at 1778 .
