Jacob MOHLER
This Jacob was thought to be son of Ludwig's son Jacob 1721-1770 and
the dates fit better here but the land that he wills and deeds to son John
is the same land given to son Jacob by Henry Sr & Elizabrth in 1756 and
mentions the 1756 deed. Two questions are still to be answered. Was
the wife of this Jacob Maria Bucher, and what is the birth date of this
Jacob, I had 1751 but that would mean that his father Henry, Sr gave him
title to land at age 5. He died in 1833 but at what age.
Buried in the same row as Jacob & Marie & Geo B are a bunch of Coovers,
led by Michael 1808-1859 and wife Nancy Mohler, 1810-1863. She is a
daughter of this couple's son John.
Will, will book Q, pg 393, written 29 March 1829, proved 9 April 1833
written after wife Maria had died, mentions sons George and John and
daughters: Elizabeth, wife of Jacob Heffly, Nancy, wife of Daniel Mohler,
Mary, wife of Henry Mohler, Sarah, unmarried and Susanna, deceased,
wife of Samuel Shirk and Susanna's six children. I have a copy of will.
In the court records of the distribution of the intestate estate of
unmarried son George B. Mohler [deed book R-9, pgs 137-142 & 217-223,
Lancaster Ct House] gives a complete list of the decendants who were
living in 1867.
John's kids: according to Ellis and Evans
Emanuel had George, Rachel Herchelroth, Sarah Miller and Lizzie
Jacob had no kids
William didn't wed
John went to Delaware
Richard to Ohio
Elias went west
Polly went to Ill, wed Mr Snavely
Nancy wed Mr Weaver
According to fathers will, Susanna died before he wrote will in 1829,
and left husband and six children
Heydt thinks she is related to Magdalena #447 who married Christian. [no
proof of that and "Neither appears to be daughter of Daniel Springer
174-1825 of DAR Patriot volume."]
Letter in Lanc Men. Springer file from Mrs. Curry in Oregon asking for
parents of Nancy Ann Springer b 7-25-1781, Rapho Twp. Lanc died
11-17-1841 in Ohio, wed David Landis 4-10-1780, Cocalico Twp died
1807 in Ohio. Obliously this isn't our Anna who wed Daniel Mohler.
Tombstone beside Daniel just says Anna with dates. Tombstone of
daughter says she was daughter of Daniel and Nancy. Will of 1751 Jacob
Mohler, wed to Maria Bucher says their daughter Nancy (PAF # 370)was
married to a Daniel Mohler. This has been proven by court records,
Lancaster Co, deed book R-9 pg 139.
The Bollinger book says she might be a descendant of Ludwig's son Jacob.
