Source notes from WFT CD12 #3318: Source given as LDS Ancestral File 25KM-QK for date of birth as 2 Oct 1709. Also estimated birth year for Catherine as 1710. (Estimation probably based on assumed birth year of Philip.)
====================
Some of the birth year estimates in this and subsequent generations are estimates to differentiate persons with the same names from each other. Estimated birth years will hopefully be plus or minus 5 years of true date.

Following notes are from the Turkeyfoot, Somerset Co., website: Christopher and his brothers, Michael, Philip and possibly David, removed to York Co., PA. By 1785 he had moved to Bedford (now Somerset) County where he is taxed in Milford twp. On May 1791, his brother Philip conveyed to Christopher a 250 acre tract on Pound Lick Run, Milford Twp., Somerset Co. known as Kingstone. In 1793, Christopher erected a grist mill on a 159 acre tract situated on the North branch of the Laurel Hill Creek, Upper Turkeyfoot Twp. His son David later inherited this property which became known as "King's Mills." The History of Bedford, Somerset and Fulton Counties say a Christopher King of Lower Turkeyfoot Twp. married Elizabeth Hanna, lived on a farm known as Stone House Property, and was the father of John C. and Thomas King. There is no evidence that he married Elizabeth Hanna. The 1850 census for Upper Turkeyfoot Twp. lists another Christopher King of about the same generation.
