Birth:
21 Aug 1871
Clinton Twp, Fulton, Ohio
Death:
1949
Burlingame, Osage, Kansas
Notes:
Name and birth information taken from records in Probate office, Fulton Co. Courthouse. Death information supplied by Dorothy Mae Smith Brown, daughter-in-law. Birth and death years confirmed by tombstone dates. Birth year further substantiated by 1880 census information which shows age as 8 yrs. Colin W. Brown, a grandson, gave birth year as 1876, this appears to be incorrect. Her grandson Colin stated "Grandma Lillian was a sweet, tiny, very innocent woman (about 5 foot tall). I loved her alot. I never knew grandpa but am told he was only 5 ft. 3 in."

Notes:
Birth information and middle initial taken from Fulton Co. birth records in Courthouse Probate office. Beulah Brown Savaiano said her middle name was Louise and that she was born September 2, 1873. She apparently did not go to Kansas with her father and her brother Edwin and sister Lillian in 1880. This is based on a listing for her in the household of Robert C. Shepherd in Dover Twp, Fulton Co, OH in the 1880 census. She is listed in the census as Mamie (she is also listed as Mayme in her father's obituary with surname KENNEL) which is a common nick name for Mary. Subsequently, she was found in the book "Fulton County Marriages 1864 to 1925" which showed her marrying an Isaac R. Kimball. A certified copy of the marriage certificate was obtained and it was found that her husband's name was Isaac R. KINDALL. They were married by J.W.Shepherd, Pastor, Church of Christ, Tedrow, Ohio. This raises a question as to whether this Shepherd is related to the above Robert C. Shepherd. Mamie and her husband were found in the 1900 Ohio census living in Toledo. It showed that they had had no children. Subsequently, Mikesell's 1905 history of Fulton County stated that Mamie Hay Kindall was the sister of Edward Hay, an engineer in the State of Oregon, and Lillian Hay Brown, wife of Collin Brown of Scranton, Kansas. This confirms that she is the daughter of Simon Hay. The history also states that Robert Shepherd was her uncle, consequently his wife must have been her mother's sister. Subsequent data from the 1860 Fulton county, Ohio census listing for Isaac Reckner showed Isabell as a daughter. She evidently was not listed in the 1875 book since she had died by this time. The 1910 Fulton county, Ohio census showed that Mamie had had 4 children but that none of them were living.
