NE and from tombstone. He was named in his father's will as an heir.
Middle name obtained from Reah Spencer.
Descendant James K. Adams had death date of 3 Sep 1893 instead of 2 Sep.
Name obtained thru Mabel I. Hay. Birth date and place based on 1830
Pennsylvania census listing for Valentine Hay which shows they had a
daughter under 5 years of age. Original data corrected and updated by
descendant, Mrs. Louise Harris of Mc Cook, NE and from tombstone. Sub-
sequently a marriage record was found in Wayne Co, OH. Martha's sister-
in-law, Rachel Biddle Worley who was married to her husband's brother,
was her mother's niece.

He married Martha Eve Hay 7 Oct 1845 at Franklin Twp, Wayne, Ohio . Martha Eve Hay was born at Ohio Twp, Beaver, Pennsylvania 24 May 1827 daughter of Valentine or Felta Hay and Christina Biddle .
