                   "John C Bruce, 87, of 1946 Higley Ave SE died Thursday following a short illness.  Born April 13, 1884 at Beaver Co. Pa.  He was married to Anna E. Moler April 15, 1913 at Dodge City Kans.  He had been employed by Quaker Oats Co for 30 years.  He was a charter member of the Knox Presbyterian church.  Surviving are a son, Elmer M Bruce, Cedar Rapids, a daughter Alice Jackson, Kansas City, Mo; a brother, S R Bruce, Mansfield, Mo; four grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Services 10:30 at the Knox Presbyterian church by the Rev. Floyd Conroy.  Burial:  Cedar Memorial .  Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Sunday and at the church after 9am Monday.  The casket will not be opened after the service."

Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, Elmer M Bruce, Cedar Rapids, a daughter, Alice Jackson, Kansas City, Mo; four sisters, Florence Wheeler, Sumner, Wash; Gladys Moler, Indianapolis, Ind; Martha Gowens, Los Angeles and Opal Morgan, Indianapolis.  Five brothers, Millard Moler, Meade, Kan; Louis Moler, Blaine, Wash; Clarence, John and Myron Moler, all of Garden City, Kan. Four grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.  Services 10:30 am Wed at the Chapel of Memories by the Rev Reuben J Tjaden.  Burial Cedar Memorial cemetery.  Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Funeral Home after noon Tuesday and at the chapel after 9 a.m. Weds.  The casket will not be opened after the service."
