                   "Luther H. Wheeler, 87, of 1802 Langdon St., Sumner, a retired carpenter, died Saturday.  Mr. Wheeler was born in Greencastle, Mo., and had lived in Bellingham 14 years before moving to Sumner 17 years ago.  Mr. Wheeler attended the Sumner Assembly of God Church. Surviving are his wife, Florence; a son, Charles of Tacoma; three daughters, Mrs. Ivan (Beatrice) Kramer of Forney, Texas; Mrs. Marvin (Winifred) Holmes of Anchorage, Alaska; and Mrs. Franklin (Anna) Brown of Muncie, Ind; a sister, Mamie Lucas of Yucaipa, Calif; 16 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.  Powers Sumner Funeral Home is in charge."

                   "Florence R. Wheeler, a 94 year-old resident of Sumner, died Tuesday of last week in Tacoma.  Mrs. Wheeler was born on New Year's Day of 1891 in Elk City, Kan.  She was a member of the Sumner Assembly of God Church.  She is survived by a son, Charles of Tacoma, and three daughters, Beatrice Kramer of Forney, Tex, Winnifred Holmes of Anchorage, and Anna Brown of Dallas.  Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon in the Sumner Voiles Funeral Home Chapel in Sumner. Burial followed at Sumner Cemetery."
