"Lottie Mae Keith Hawk of Lewiston, a registered nurse and homemaker, died May 8 at the home of her daughter at Winchester. She was 87, and death was attributed to causes related to age. Mrs. Hawk had worked in the Lewiston area as a nurse for several years. She was born July 7, 1898, to John and Josephine Keith at Fort Dodge, Kan. She married Delbert Guy Hawk at Fairbury, Neb., July 26, 1915, and they moved to American Falls in southern Idaho in 1917. They came to northern Idaho in 1934. Mrs. Hawk enjoyed knitting and crocheting and once produced 60 afghans in 10 years. She also kept a garden and crocheted tablecloths. She was a member of the United Pentecostal Church and had attended school at Fort Dodge. She had also taken correspondence courses from the American Nursing School. Mrs. Hawk is survived by her husband at Lewiston; six sons Derrel G., Alva L. (Fuzzy), Delbert L. and David O., all of Lewiston; Merling M. of Harlowton, Mont., and Kenneth D. of Eagle, Idaho; one daughter, Olive O. Hammond of Winchester; 41 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by six sons: Wilbur, Joseph, James, Keith, Charlie and Valworth. The funeral was held Monday at 2 p.m. at Mountain View Funeral Home at Lewiston with the Rev. Peter Shebley of the United Pentecostal Church at Lewiston and the Rev. Monte M. Hawk of the United Pentecostal Church of Green River, Wyo., officiating. Burial followed at Lewis-Clark Memorial Gardens.
