George Martin FELTS

                   "Geo. Martin Felts, son of Geo. D. and Mary E. Felts, was born at Darlington, Mo., May 29, 1875 and passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Clarence Redding south of Darlington, Mo., Sept. 16, 1947, at the age of 72 years, 3 months and 17 days.  He was united in marriage in 1900 to Effie B. Keith and to this union 8 children were born.  The living children are Clyde F. Felts of Dodge City, Kan., Millard H. Felts, of Albuquerque, N. Mexico, Harvey M. Felts of San Diego, Calif., Nadean M. Douson of Dodge City, Kan., and Evetta Redding of Darlington, Mo. 3 children having died in infancy.  In 1941 he was united in marriage to Elva Brooks of St. Joseph, Mo.  In the year 1900 he united with the Darlington Baptist church.  Besides the above named children he is survived by 3 brothers, William Felts of Pueblo, Colo., Edmond Felts of Gare City, Iowa, and Charley Felts of St. Joseph, Mo., and one sister, Mrs. Geo. Oyler of Wichita, Kan.  11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild besides a host of other relatives and friends.  Funeral services were conducted at the Darlington Baptist Church Sept. 18, at 3 o'clock P.M. by the Rev. A. L. Christian.  Burial was made in the Darlington cemetery under the direction of the Brooks Funeral Home."
