(On a 1998 visit, there was no tombstone at the grave location. Cemetery office reports that Charles W. and Ann E. Gausline are buried together).
"At 1602 Olin St., Aug 6, Charles W. Gausline, aged 85 years, beloved husband of Lunicia Gausline. Deceased is also survived by one sister and five grandsons. Remains are at Chamber's chapel on Killingsworth. Funeral notice later." (Oregonian 8 Aug 1926): "Funeral services for Charles W. Gausline, past master of Compson Post, G.A.R., will be held Monday, August 9, at 2 p.m. at Chambers chapel, on Killingsworth ave. Rev. Gabriel Sykes officiating. The G.A.R. will also assist. Committal Rose City cemetery."

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Wednesday at the Peninsula funeral home, 3018 N. Lombard street for Mrs. Charles W. Gausline, 90, who died Sunday night at her home, 7426 N. Olin street. Burial will be at San Francisco. Mrs. Gausline had been a resident of Portland 25 years, coming here from San Jose, Cal. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Herbert Mayer, of the home; Mrs. L.V. Snyder and Mrs. L.L. Gilbert, both of Oakland, Cal., and Mrs. Charles Soulds, Columbia, South America; and a son, Omar Cambers, Seattle. "
