Isaac Newton MOLER
"Isaac Moler was born January 14, 1831, in Switzerland County, Indiana. He was married to Eliza A. Imel, October 20, 1853. To this union were born eight children, all of whom are living except one daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Moler came to Kansas in an early day and made their home here since that time. Mrs. Moler passed away November 9, 1916. Mr. Moler's health failed rapidly after his wife's death. After an illness of one week, he departed this life March 15 at 1 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Haskell, who lives north of Dodge City. Mr. Moler joined the church in early life and has always been a devoted Christian. He has five sisters and one brother living. Mrs. T.J. Imel, of Spearville, is the only sister in Kansas and she was with him until the end. Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church in Spearville March 17, conducted by S.L. Kiser. Interment was made in the Spearville cemetery."
"Eliza A. H. Imel was born July 15, 1835, in Switzerland county, Indiana. She was united in marriage at the age of 18 years to Isaac Moler, of Jefferson county, Indiana. To this union 8 children were born, 3 boys and 5 girls, all of whom are living except one. Mrs. Moler came to Ford county in 1879. In early life she joined the United Brethren Church but since coming to Kansas she united with the Methodist Church. She died at Kinsley, Kansas, November 9, 1916, after an illness of two weeks, aged 81 years, 3 months, 24 days. Funeral services were conducted by S.L. Kiser at the M.E. Church. Interment was made in the Spearville cemetery."
"Martha Jane Moler, daughter of Isaac and Eliza Ann Moler, was born in Madison, Indiana, September 6, 1856 and departed this life January 26 at the age of eighty-four years, four months and twenty days. She was of Christian faith, having joined the Baptist church at an early age. She was united in marriage March 2, 1874 to Samuel Imel. To this union were born eleven children, five of whom survive. Her husband and six children having preceded her in death. In 1880 she moved to Kansas and lived in or near Dodge City until she moved to Lyons, Kas., in 1932 with her son. The surviving children are Mrs. Belle Stauth, Dodge City; Mrs. Nettie Whitaker, Portland, Oregon; Mrs. Ida Zahnter, Riverside, California; Irven Imel, Osage City, Kansas; Jacob Imel, Lyons, Kansas; two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Felts, Darlington, Missouri, and Mrs. Tillie Pritchett, Temple, Texas; one brother, Peter Moler, Ferndale, Washington; thirty-seven grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends." bur, Maple Grove Cemetery
"Funeral services for L. M. Maler, 70 years of age, who died Oct. 21 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. R. L. McFarland, south of Tonkawa were held Tuesday afternoon at Perkins. He was buried in a grave beside that of his wife who died in December 1909. He is survived by three sons, Glen of Tryon and Wayne and Ted of Tonkawa; three daughters, Mrs. H. Smith of Tryon, Mrs. C.B. Smith of Ponca City and Mrs. R. L. McFarland of Tonkawa; 12 grandchildren, three sisters and two brothers. Mrs. H. P. Pricer, Mrs. C. S. Pricer and Mrs. C. A. Bunch, nieces of the deceased, attended the funeral Tuesday."
"Peter M. Moler, age 79, passed away at the family home, 814 Irving Street, Thursday, July 17. Mr. Moler had resided in tis community for the past eleven years and was a retired farmer. Deceased was a member of the Church of Nazarene and leaves to survive five sons, Clarence L., John V. and Myron C., all of Garden City, Kansas, Millard, of Meade, Kan., and Louis I., of Blaine; five daughters, Mrs. L.H. Wheeler, Mrs. A. A. Gowens and Miss Gladys Moler, all of Bellingham, Mrs. J.C. Bruce, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Mrs. A.C. Morgan, of St. Paul, Minn.; thirty-five grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Tillie Pritchett, of Springfield, Colo. The remains are at the funeral home of Harlow-Hollingsworth where services will be conducted by the Rev. D.B. Kunkle, Monday, July 21, at 3 p.m. Final resting place, Bay View."
Died on the family's trip from Indiana to Ford County, Kansas. Burial place unknown.
"Mrs. Martillie Prichett died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 1954, at the Ellsworth hospital at the age of 75 years, 4 months and 8 days. She was born July 8, 1879, in Spearville. Mrs. Pritchett made her home with a daughter, Mrs. H.L. Billings of Ellsworth. Other survivors are another daughter, Mrs. Violette White, of Springfield, Colo.; nine grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at two o'clock at the Grubb Funeral Home, with Rev. Matthaei officiating. Burial will be in the Ellsworth cemetery."
