His vocation was farmer. His wife was Mary A. Robinson. They were married
1861. Mary's father was John Robinson. They lived 8 miles from St. George,
on rented land, in Licking District. His children were, Charles, Frank, and
Malissa. Information obtained from "History of Tucker County" Hu Maxwell
copyright 1884 , page 390 ... Fred Davis was apprently born in Ohio.

Mary Robison is Regina Ferguson Dowling's great grandmother. She was blind at
the time of her death. Lived either in Tucker Co. or Preston Co. they lived
near the border. Information given to Regina by her mother, Edna. Buried near
Rowlesburg and Hannahsville, West Virginia.
The family name "Robinson " was not listed among the biographies for the Tucker
County. However two names were listed , Joshua R. Robinson he ran for 1860
election for constable. Joseph B. Robinson ran for "overseer of roads" for
Township of Hannahsville, election April 27, 1865. Information in "Tucker
County History" by Hu Maxwell, 1884. These names will be research for further
information.

This is Regina Ferguson Dowling's grandfather. Charles Davis, son of
Frederick, was born in 1868. Farmer of 110 acres, 25 acres improved; lives on
Licking, 8 miles from St. George.
Charles and his parents and siblings lived in a one room log house with a dirt
floor. He slept in the attic, entrance to the attic using a ladder.
His mother was blind which developed after she had a terrific headache. She
died around 90 years old.
