Note* With the exception of Polly Thomas Tolles (who stayed behind, and married Joseph Brown of Millers Falls, MA.), Jerry, Diademan, and family arrived with a friend, Daniel Bills, on Lot 17, Hartland Ridge, Hartland Township, Huron County, OH in the spring of 1817. Daniel Bills' familyarrived in the the spring of 1818. Jared Tolles Ii died in the fall (Sept 15)of 1818 from 'eating too freely of wild plums'. He was buried on his farm in a coffin made out of Daniel Bills' wagon box because there was no lumber to be had." ...from the book ("Tolles in America")
