Andrew RAMBO
The family moved from Montgomery Co., PA to Somerset Co. sometime after the birth of AMOS who was christened 1764 at Gloria Dei Church. This suggests the earlier date of 1761 for his birth is erroneous or there was another child named Amos who died as an infant. === We had believed he was probably Hannah's father even before finding WFT1 #2818, since he is the only Rambo buried with her family in the Cramer-King Cemetery at New Centreville, Somerset Co., PA. We had calculated his birth date from the inscription on his marker: Died 6-13-1792 aged 65y 1m 3d as May 10, 1727. Because of change to Gregorian calendar in 1752, the month & day are possibly in error. WFT1 #2818 gives the day & month as May 3, but notes that the day might have been March 5.
