Michael King married Susannah Passmore in York County Pennsylvania.  She was a Quaker. Michael King warranted land in Warrington Twp. York Co. Pennsylvania in 1762. from Patent Book H pp595 found in the Pennsylvania State Land Records. He was on tax lists from 1779 thru1783. (Penna. Archives Series 3 Vol.21 pp 89,  292,412, 521 and782)  From Deed Book 2D p79 York Co. Penna. Records, Michael King  conveys the 200 acres for 175 pounds to his brother Christopher.  Michael King appears on tax list for Milford Twp.   Bedford County Penna. for 1783, 1785 and 1794(Penna. Archives Series 3 Vol. 22 pp238 Vol.25 pp553 and 556).Michael King is listed in 1790 Census in Bedford Co. Penna. In 1800 his widow Susannah is shown for Milford Twp.(which is now Somerset Co. In Penna. State Land
Office,Harrisburg Pa. in Patent Book H p p595 shows Michael King's land inWarrington Twp. York Michael's probate records found in Docket #9 May 1801 Orphan's Court Somerset County Pennsylvania.

A conflict of evidence to the above has been raised by Mrs. Rosalie Hartinger in her King History as not conclusive enough as there were many Michael King's who served in Revolutionary War. as evidence of her statement she cites a Michael King born in Little Britain Pa. and died in Guernsey Co.,Ohio 1812.
It is believed that the first 5 of Michael's and Susanna's children were born in York Co., PA.   administration on Michael's estate was filed 5 April, 1800.

                   Susannah Passmore was a Quaker.  She received a certificate on December 1,1759
from the Newark (Kennett) Monthly Meeting to the Warrington Monthly Meeting in
York County which was accepted on July 12, 1760.  On  September 11, 1762, a few
months after her marriage, she was complained

of in the Newberry Monthly Meeting in York  County for having married a
non-Friend, contrary to Quaker discipline, and on November 6, 1762, was
disowned by the Meeting.

                   George King was born in York County Pennsylvania.  In 1794 he married Catherine
Stickle.  About 1816 moved into Fayette County.  He  bought a fulling mill
later known as the Strickler Mill property.    George run the fulling for a few
years , then sold and bought a farm.  In 1840 he built a home near Perryopolis
Pennsylvania.  He is buried in Mt. Washington Cemetery near Perryopolis
Pennsylvania. He was a carpenter before he took up farming. George is listed on
the 1800 United States Census in Somerset County Pennsylvania 1m 26/45  1f.-10
1f 16/26.  In 1820 he is listed in Franklin Township, Fayette County
Pennsylvania.  By 1830 he is listed in Washington township Fayette County
Pennsylvania.  In

1840 in Perry Township Fayette County Pennsylvania.  Probate Records are on
file in Fayette County Orphan's Court for November 24, 1851 Josiah King was
Administrator.
