David Samuel Trumpower, 74, died Saturday afternoon at Washington County
Hospital.  He had been ill for a month with a heart condition.  Mr.
Trumpower was a well-known retired farmer in the Clear Spring area.  He
made his home on Clear Spring Rt. 2 and was a member of St. Paul's
Evangelical and Reformed Church, Western Pike.  Mr. Trumpower is survived
by his wife, Mrs. Grace (Slayman) Trumpower; sons, Earl, Ernest, Harold
and Wilbur, All of Clear Spring; daughters, Mrs. Helen Forrest,
Middletown; Mrs. Jane Brewer, Clear Spring; and Mrs. Darce Karle, State
Line, Pa.  Additional survivors include sisters, Mrs. Gertrude
Blickenstaff, of Hagerstown; and Mrs. Mary Martin, of Beaver Creek; and a
brother, Calvin Trumpower, of Edgemont.  Sixteen grandchildren and 11
great grandchildren also survive.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday
at 2 p.m. from St. Paul's Church, in charge of the Rev. J. Wade Huffman.
Interment in the cemetery adjoining the church.  Friends mat call at the
Clark Funeral Home, Clear Spring, between 2 and 9 p.m. today or at the
church one hour before time of service Tuesday.

Mrs. Grace Trumpower, 76, formerly of Clear Spring, died Monday at the
Homewood Church Home in Williamsport.  She had lived most of her life in

officiate; burial in adjoining church cemetery.  Family will receive
friends at the Rowland Funeral Home in Clear Spring on Wednesday evening
from 7 to 9.  The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to the
time of the service.

Harold Trumpower of Waldorf; and eight grandchildren and four great
grandchildren.  Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul's
United Church of Christ with Rev. Stephen Robertson, assisted by the Rev.
Larry Fisher, officiating.  Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery.  There
will be a viewing at the church one hour prior to the service.

30, at the Washington County Hospital.  Born in Clear Spring, she was the

Leroy Charles Forrest, died in 1977.  She was a member of St. Paul's
Lutheran Church in Myersville.  She is survived by one daughter, Mary
Jane Cline of Baltimore, Md.; two sons, James Forrest, with whom she
resided, and Kenneth Forrest; two sisters, Jane Brewer of Clear Spring,
and Doris Karle of Halfway, Pa.; two brothers, Harold Trumpower of
Hancock and Wilbur Trumpower of Maugansville; 10 grandchildren; and seven
great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl
Trumpower and Ernest Trumpower.  Services will be held at 11 a.m.
Saturday at the Ricketts Funeral Home in Myersville.  The Rev. David
Howell will officiate.  Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery on
Church Hill Road in Myersville.  The family will receive friends at the

6, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Martinsburg, W.Va. Born in
Clear Spring, he was the son of the late David and Grace Slayman
Trumpower. He was employed as a foreman at the Calvert Cliffs Nuclear
Power Station, Calvert County, Md., retiring in 1974. He was a veteran of
World War II serving with the U.S. Army. He was of the Protestant faith.
He was a member of the Joseph C. Herbert Post 222 American Legion, Clear
Spring, for 32 years; a member of the Battle of the Bulge Association,
Alexandria, Va.; a member of the Iron Workers Union, Local No. 5,
Washington, D.C., for more than 40 years; and a member of the AARP. He is
survived by his wife, Mildred Hamner Trumpower; two daughters, Phyllis
Marie Adams of Waldorf, Md., and Deloris Ann Johnson of Coats, N.C.; two
sisters, Darce Karle of State Line, Pa., and Jane Brewer of Clear Spring;
one brother, Wilbur Trumpower of Maugansville, Md.; four grandchildren;
and one great-granddaughter. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at
the Donald E. Thompson Funeral Home, Clear Spring. The Rev. Lawrence N.
Strunk will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park,
