Clinton Albert Trumpower died Thursday at 8 p.m. at his home in Clear
Spring, aged 73 years.  Born in Washington County, he was the son of
Simon and Rue Ann (Repp) Trumpower.  He was a lifelong resident of the
Clear Spring district.  Surviving are wife, Mrs. Etta (Slayman)
Trumpower; sons, Allen, Ralph, Mason, Marvin, all of Clear Spring; Guy,
Canon City, Colorado; sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Blickenstaff, Hagerstown;
brothers, Calvin, Edgemont; David, Clear Spring; and seven
grandchildren.  The funeral will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Rowland
Funeral Home, Clear Spring, the Rev. J. Wade Huffman officiating, with
interment in St. Paul's Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home.

and Clinton A. Trumpower.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna
Trumpower Trumpower.  He was a retired painting contractor, a veteran of
World War II, member of the Clear Spring American Legion Joseph C.
Herbert Post No. 222 and the VFW Post No. 1936 of Hagerstown.  He is
survived by one stepdaughter, Mrs. Edith Smith of Baltimore; four
brothers, Ralph Trumpower and Marvin Trumpower, both of Clear Spring,
Mason Trumpower of Cumberland and Guy Trumpower of Cannon City, Colo.
Services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. from thr Thompson Funeral
Home in Clear Spring.  The Rev. Paul Moore will officiate.  Burial will

July 27, at Washington County Hospital. Born in Clear Spring, he was the
son of the late Clinton A. Trumpower and Etta Slayman Trumpower. He was a
self-employed painter. He was of the Protestant faith. He is survived by
his wife, Helen V. Lesher Trumpower; three daughters, Margaret Mandeville
of Hagerstown, Nelie Simmmers and Linda Lee, both of Clear Spring; two
sons, Terry Trumpower of Clear Spring and Donald Trumpower of Big Pool;
two brothers, Marvin Trumpower of Clear Spring, and Guy Trumpower of
Cannon City, Colo.; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandsons. He was
preceded in death by two brothers. The family will receive friends today
from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Donald E. Thompson Funeral Home Inc., Clear
Spring. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. The family

Cumberland and a member of Joseph C. Herbert Post No. 322 of Clear
Spring.  He is survived by three brothers, Ralph Trumpower and Marvin
Trumpower, both of Clear Spring, and Guy Trumpower of Cannon City, Colo.
Services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. from Thompson Funeral Home in
Clear Spring.  The Rev. Fred Faust will officiate.  Burial will be in St.
