Husband Died Ten Days Ago ----- Ill More Than Year

Within the space of ten days the Cramer home north of Fremont has been
deprived of father and mother by death, the death of Mrs. May Cramer
occurring this morning at Excelsior Springs, MO., where she was
undergoing treatment for her health. She has been ill for more than a
year, during which she has been in a weakened condition. she was about
forty four years of age.

Her husband, Robert L. Cramer, died suddenly while sitting in a chair at
his farm home near the Sheldon school north of Fremont on Thursday,
February 12.
                 Children at Side
Following the death of the father, the four children, Love, Sybil, Grace
and Wayne, who attend school at the Sheldon school and in the Fremont
High School, have been at Excelsior Springs with their mother, and were
with her when the end came this morning.

Mrs. Cramer lived in Fremont nearly all of her life. Her maiden name was
May Kissel. She resided with her parents on a farm north of Fremont for
several years and later moved into town with them. Both of them preceded
her in death.

Twenty years ago she was united in marriage to Robert L. Cramer, a
prominent farmer and stock raiser. A year ago her health began to
decline and left her an invalid, and she was unable to attend the funeral
services of her husband in Fremont last week.
                 Funeral in Fremont
Mrs. Cramer was well known in the vicinity and was held in high esteem by
her many friends and neighbors.

Fred Bader left this morning for Excelsior springs to bring the remains
to Fremont, where funeral services will be held. He expected to arrive
home tomorrow night. Funeral arrangements will be made when the remains
are brought to this city.

Surviving are the four children, Love, Sybil, Grace and Wayne; one
brother, Frank, of Bristow and one sister, Mrs. Myrtle Garn of Fremont.

3-12-1998 Bob Cramer said Sybil was the first to marry, he thought it
was soon after her parents death, she was married in Fremont, and moved
into the home place. She had no children. He remembers when he was very
young, going to the cemetery with Art and Sybil, to put flowers on
graves. *****

Thanks for the information on Art King. I knew them many years ago. In
fact, my mother rented an apartment from Sybil for a number of years.
However, Art was not related (as far as I can tell) to our King family. It
was nice hearing from you and thanks again. Cherry Gocken.

Hi Cherry, thank you for your answer. I am hoping you will send me some
information on Art and Sybil. Memories of them, describing them,
anything you remember which helps bring them more real to me. Could I
get you to do that? I would sure appreciate it. Thank you, Karon
Mazie

Hi Karon:
I really did not know Art and only knew Sybil a little. She was a very
nice person who treated my mother very kindly and my mother had a great
deal of respect for her. Sybil lived on an acreage just north of Fremont,
and raised geese. She kept them as pets and they were very tame. She was
a good sized lady but seemed to be very active around her acreage and
loved
animals. I know this is not very much information, but I didn't see her
very often. Hope it helps a little. Sorry, I'm so late in replying. I've
been in Pennsylvania staying with my grandsons for the past two weeks. It
was fun, but it's good to get home. Sincerely, Cherry

Phone contact on 3-11-98: Bob's wife Cynthia said there is some seeming
discrepancy about where Wayne lived, he said he lived with a guardian,
his sisters said they took him in. Cynthia said Bob has a book with
some information about his grandfather in it, and she was sure he would
share this information with me.

3-12-1998 Bob Cramer told me the middle names of the males in the family
were named after Generals. He told me his father was under guardianship
and spent his time living in the YMCA.
