Ref; d/cer. Notes from obit; Cyrus Fry a resident of Muscatine for 12years. The deceased was born June 27, 1843 in Buckston Somerset County,Pennsylvania. He came west with his parents at the age of 7 years andsettled on a farm near Letts. There he grew to manhood. He married MissArminda Brookhart December 23, 1869, Four years later he moved to PageCounty, Iowa, where he resided 20 years. The family then moved to a farmnear Cranston and lived there until 12 years ago, then coming toMuscatine. Eight children were born to this union, seven of whomsurvive. His wife preceded him in death June 11, 1921. The survivorsare four daughters, Mrs. Nellie Meeker and Mrs. Mae Riemcke of Muscatine,Mrs. Rachael Meeker of Cranston and Mrs. Pearl Chapman of Atalissa, threesons Albert Fry of Nichols, Thomas Fry of Wapello, and Lewis A. Fry ofAinsworth Iowa, five sisters Mrs. John Coder of Cranston Iowa, Mrs. PeterBrookhart of Letts, Mrs. Hattie Epperly of St. Paul Minnesota, Mrs. SarahMorrison and Mrs. Nicholas Herrick of Muscatine, and a brother John Fryof Letts. Burial will be in the Cranston Cemetery.

She came to Muscatine county with her parents in1860. Her brother John arrived from Cheyenne Wyoming, four hours beforeher death. Her sister Mrs. Rachael Moles Crisp of Washington Springs, SDhad been with her during the last week. In addition to them she leavesto survive, her husband, one sister Mrs. T. U. Van Pelt of KimballNebraska, Two brothers Peter of Letts, Iowa and Mark of Davenport, Iowa,four daughters Mrs. Nellie Meeker, Mrs. Rachel Meeker, Mrs. PearlChapman, and Mrs. May Riemeke all of Muscatine, three sons Albert ofNichols, Iowa, Thomas of Wapello, Iowa,and Alexander of Ainsworth, Iowa,16 g/children. Two brothers, three sisters and one daughter preceded herin death.
