He was an Army veteran of world war two.  He had been employedat Muscatine General Hospital as a maintenance man.  He is survived byhis wife, four sons Richard of Wilton Iowa, Donald of RochesterMinnesota, Lyle Eugene of Houston Texas, and Louie of Muscatine Iowa,five brothers Arthur of St. Petersburg Florida, Marvin of Enid Oklahoma,Alton of Wichita Kansas, Keith and Scott Fry both of Muscatine, foursisters Mrs. Ward Lee, Mrs. Robert McElroy, and Mrs. Steve Danko all ofMuscatine Iowa, and Mrs. Leo Friedli of Wilton Iowa, 17 g/children and 14great g/children.     Dorothy Fry MUSCATINE, Iowa - Dorothy Evelyn Fry, 84, of Muscatine, died
    Tuesday, March 28, 2000, at the Lutheran Homes. Services will be at 1:30
    p.m. Thursday at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home. The Rev. Wade
    Duroe of Hillcrest Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be at the
    Letts Cemetery. A luncheon will be served at the Hillcrest BaptistChurch
    following services. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the
    Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the
    Hillcrest Baptist Church. She was born Nov. 8, 1915, in Cedar County,the
    daughter of Clarence and Olive Dallegge Stanbro. She married Roy W. Fry
    on Aug. 26, 1933. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and was a
    homemaker. Survivors include two sons, Louie Fry and his wife, Janet ,of
    Muscatine and Donald Fry and his wife, Lois, of Rochester, Minn.; 15
    grandchildren; three step grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; four
    step great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; a sister,Louise
    Daufeldt of Muscatine. She was preceded in death by her parents;husband;
    three sons, Haully, Richard and Gene Fry; a brother, Louie F. Stanbro.

The body was cremated.  Survivors include his wife,three sons Timothy of Hartville, James of Lampe, and Daniel of Fort RileyKansas, three daughters Jeri Lynn Schenkel of Wilton Iowa, Brenda Brawleyof Lynchburg, and Kimberly Murry of Roby Missouri, his mother DorthyStanbro of Muscatine, three brothers Donald of Rochester Minnesota,Eugene of Dallas Texas, and Louis of Muscatine, and 11 g/children. Notes from obit;  Hisbody was discovered at the bottom of an unloaded hopper car at the GrainProcessing Corp. plant where he worked late Sat night.  His wife gavebirth to their first a girl today.  Dr. V. W. Swayze, county medicalexaminer, said Fry apparently suffocated in the corn that had been runout through the bottom of the railway car into a conveyor, but the deathcould have been caused by a fall into the car.  Burial was in the LettaIowa cemetery.  Survivors are his wife and newborn child, his parents,four brothers Richard of Durant Iowa, Donald of Davenport Iowa, and Lyleand Louis Fry of Muscatine.
