He was married in 1861 to Lucretia Fry, a native of Wisconsin, shedied June 1871, Mr. Epperly has three children by this marriageWilliametta born in 1863, Jared in 1865, and Annie M. in 1868.  Hemarried E. Ruth Shellabarger, born in 1845; her parents Thomas and SusanShellabarger came to Muscatine County, Iowa from Ohio in 1846; her fatherdied November 1, 1876; her mother about 1864.  Mr. and Mrs. Epperly aremembers of the United Brethren Church.
