Charles Henry was instrumental in establishing the town of Riverton

Wyoming in 1906.  He was a major and shaker in establishing many towns in

Wyoming.  He was among the first to set up mercantile stores at Ft.

Fetterman, Douglas, Glenrock, Casper, Shoshoni, and Riverton from the mid

1880's to 1906.  He also had banks, lumber companies, and string teams to

haul freight to the Arapaho and Shoshone tribes at Ft. Washkai and

Arapahoe in addition to the towns it was reported that the main office

was in Omaha Nebraska. (information from Leniegh Schrinar, Volunteer at

Riverton Museum Research Center of Riverton Wyoming.  Charles Henry's

Family records are also from the Riverton Research Center) There is also

evidence of him being in the Territory of Utah in 1893 from land records

in Weber County ,Utah Territory (from Gearld R. Ford library) Charles

Henry buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery Glendale California.

On the 1900 Census of Natrona County Wyoming--Charles H. King states he

was born in March 1856 in Pennsylvania both his parents born in

Pennsylvania and that he is a merchant.

1880 Census Olmsted County Minnesota -Rochester 1st Ward -Charles 27,

living with wife Mattie (Martha) and daughter Daisy -servant Mary Olson

b. Minnesota

On an 1885 Census of Dawes County Nebraska, they are living in an Inn of

J. Larkin -a son C. H. is 3 and daughter G. is 10 ( could Daisy and

Gertrude be the same person)
