                   Dorothy suffered from heart disease and was one of the first in Utah to receive open heart surgery for a valve defect she had since her early years.  The operation was a success but she developed an infection of the bowel several months later and died.  She had surgery at the Rumel Chest Clinic in LDS Hospital, Salt Lake City, UT.  in 1958.
