Archie was reportedly baptized in 1891 originally, but no record was found to document, so he was rebaptized in 1968 to be sure. transcript of letter Archie Kerr Gibson wrote to his mother, Isabell Vandyke Kerr, 2 years before his death in 1922. Odgen, June 11/1920 Dear Mother, Hen and I left Ogden in his car at 6 am and reached Evanston 2 pm in time for the funeral. They were very glad we came and we were glad we could go. Aunt Lis passed away very peacefully Netty told me and the services we just beautiful. Many beautiful flowers and fine speaking and singing and in all a very impressive funeral. Aunt Lis looked so peaceful in her coffin and God knows she has earned a peaceful rest. Becky and Will and Arch and all were there and many of the others and at the services she leaned on my arm to and from the church. I am glad poor Aunt Lis is at rest and God knows there is none would wish her back to any more misery on this earth. We had a hard trip for the roads were very rough at least half of the way and we did not reach home until 1:15 a.m. We looked in the gasoline tank at Clinton and the indicator showed it to be empty and the only gas we had was one quart in the retainer and we managed to get to town on that. I think Hattie expects to return home within ten days. Billy is not quite so well as when he came and he is not sure how long he will stay. She said he would have to give up his trip to Matties. Lots of love to all. Your loving son, Archie 1164-21st The family bible lists the baptism dates for all but Archie and Frederick. Word of mouth has it they swam away on the day they were to be baptized. Archie was baptized by proxy on 15 Nov 1968.
